Samples

The pictures below show a sample of the different flex types that we've manufactured.

Single-Sided Flex

Soldermask replaces both coverlayers. PSA and FR4 stiffener are added at certain areas. Plating finish is HASL. This part is used in a data storage unit.

Double-Sided Flex

This double-sided flex has silver epoxy shielding in the dynamic area. Plating finish is ENIG. This part is used in a cell phone that both flips and slides in two directions.

3-Layer Flex

This 3-layer flex has an aluminum stiffener at the camera module area. Plating finish is ENIG. This part is used in a cell phone with an integrated camera.

4-layer Flex with Air-Gap

This multi-layer flex has 4-layer (air-gap) areas, and single-sided areas. This hinge flex will be bonded to the phone LCD. The specs in the LCD bonding region are 3 mil lines / 3 mil spaces [0.07mm lines / 0.07mm spaces].

7-layer Flex with Air-Gap

This multi-layer flex has 7-layer air-gap construction. This jumper flex is located in the hinge of a cellphone. The parts are currently shown in a sub-panel, which is used to simplify the connector SMT assembly.

2-layer Flex-FR4

Laminate is thin-core FR4. Soldermask is on both sides. Surface finish is OSP. This part is used in an automotive under-the-hood application.
